Xcalia Implementation Methodology
Building a service-oriented architecture (SOA) is a long and risky process if not approached with a formal methodology
for implementation. It must clearly define the required steps and the organizations overall business objectives. It is
extremely rare that a SOA is built from scratch. The most common scenario is to integrate or reuse existing IT assets
and resources to build new composite applications.
One of the major challenges of SOA implementation is to facilitate data access of any kind; either direct data access
or services which access and manipulate data. This is clearly where Xcalia, with it new offering, provides an easy and
straightforward solution. This is the focus that the Xcalia Global Services organization will address in assisting clients
during the different steps of SOA projects.
Based on our relevant experience and success in data access and mapping, Xcalia provides a clear vision and solid
methodology which enables, and guarantees, the success of SOA implementations that require data and service integration
with Xcalia Intermediation Platform.
The Xcalia Methodology follows a well define process to take you from project concept to completion. Each of the
following steps involves teams from the customer (or its integration partner) and Xcalia Global Service Advisors.
Please contact Xcalia Global Services to discuss how we can assist you in making your SOA easy to implement through
data and service mediation. All you need to get started is data, services, and a desire to leverage all of your
company's valuable assets when building new composite applications.
