Xcalia Announces LiDO Studio 3.1 Featuring Complete
Eclipse Integration
This new release, LiDO Studio 3.1 has something for developers and
database architects whether they use Eclipse or not.
January 5, 2005 — Eclipse platform users will benefit from a seamless integration with
LiDO
Studio 3.1. Non-eclipse users will also enjoy a real time view of their project
thanks to a new synchronization feature that allows a user to see via LiDO
Studio 3.1 all modifications on the object data model in real time.
"The Java community recognizes that simplifying J2EE is of primordial
importance. The Eclipse development environment is part of this movement
and it is why it is so largely adopted. LiDO and JDO also help render J2EE
simpler and more affordable while bringing greater efficiency. This Eclipse
plug-in for LiDO Studio offers the ideal combination for transactional Java
application developers who want to increase their productivity without
relinquishing the flexibility offered by Eclipse." said Eric Samson, founder and
CTO of Xcalia.
LiDO Studio 3.1 also features a new wizard designed to automate reverse
mapping so that this feature is much more agreeable than before. The last
important evolution in LiDO Studio 3.1 concerns how the mapping and
metadata save data. LiDO Studio 3.1 can conserve all comments and work
done which helps out with benchmarks and migrations.
LiDO Studio is Xcalia's unique visual development tool for expert
developers
and database architects. It eliminates most of the coding normally
associated with data persistence by providing wizards that allow developers
to trace graphical access paths between the required data source and their
Java classes from their desktop. LiDO Studio 3.1 can be downloaded from
the Xcalia web-site at www.xcalia.com/downloads and can be used
in
conjunction with LiDO XD 3.0, our free heterogeneous persistence
product
for a free 30 day trial.
